Please note the field can be muddy and access is via a none maintained track, so it is advisable to wear suitable footwear and bring a torch as there is no streetlights, we also have no toilet facilities.

Parking

  1. Please download What3words. This App is a great way to help you navigate around Crowle in the dark.
  2. The Light Parade starts at Crowle First School on Church Road at 5.30pm. What3words: Braved. Grows.Intrigues (There is no street lighting, and you need to arrive early as the village may get congested)
  3. The Bonfire takes place in Lower Crowle. Gates open at 6.00pm and the fire is lit at 6.30pm. What3words: Elevator.Frock.expensive (The site is muddy and you will need wellies and a torch).
  4. There is parking for around 90 cars at the Village Hall. What3words: myths.steep.thankful This is a 15-20 minute walk to the bonfire site and about 5-10 minutes to Crowle First School. Where possible, we urge you to use the parking facilities at the Village Hall. The Gates are locked at 9.30pm!
  5. To help avoid traffic congestion on Church Road please park on the side of the road highlighted in green. Do not park on the side of the road highlighted in red. Please park considerately and please do not block access to resident’s drives or emergency service access.
  6. If you enter Crowle by Lower Crowle Road, you will be asked to turn your vehicle around before parking so as to be facing the right way to leave with the traffic exiting from Froxmere Road by the one way flow of traffic we are encouraging. The exit point from the village using this recommended route will be at What3words: Pills.Revolting.Often.
  7. Please remember this is a local Scout and School event run by volunteers. Marshals are available to provide guidance and to help but some delays will be inevitable.
